Non-payment Issues

According to Neptune's offer/contract letter, 28th of every month is the pay day. However, in reality the experience is of frequently salary delays at Neptune:
  • Neptune Nigeria salaries have been typically delayed for up to 3 months.
  • Neptune London salaries have been delayed at times by up to a month during last year.
Some examples:
  • A mortgage consultant produced mortgage product documents for around 3 months and when he wasn't paid he resigned and took all his produced documents with him.
  • The current Trade Finance product director has in protest sometimes suspended his work due to salary delays.
Despite this, staffs is expected to work overtime and weekends for no additional compensation. In addition, staffs is expected to pay much of their expenses out of own pockets initially, with Neptune delaying repayment by many months. Outstanding expenses sometimes run into many thousands of pounds for individuals.

The non-payment is not restricted to staffs:
  • Neptune's software development partner Cordiant India has suspended there services due to non-payment on multiple occasions.
  • Baillifs frequently visit London office
  • Frequent suspension of contracts by suppliers owing to non payment of fees
  • Reuse of registered computer addresses to avoid having to buy additional software licenses
